Trost Irrigation started in Michigan in 1974 and has expanded to Florida.

Trost Irrigation is a full service irrigation company founded in 1975, and incorporated in the state of Michigan in 1979. Trost started out small and has grown to become one of the largest irrigation companies in Michigan. Over the years, Trost Irrigation has developed a well-respected reputation in the industry that has led it to become successful in other markets as well.

As the economy began to struggle in the state of Michigan, Terry had a dream of not letting down his loyal employees and decided to expand to a more stable economy by sending his oldest sons Jeff and Bob along with a few willing Michigan employees to establish a division in Florida. At the time of expansion, our relationships in the industry had paid off, fellow Michigan companies were doing the same and the Florida division has flourished ever since.

Terry’s youngest son Doug works hand in hand with him to continue the Michigan legacy where it all began.  Both Terry and Doug have every bit of faith Michigan will thrive as it once did before. Trost Irrigation has built an excellent customer base working with home builders and developers (national, large, and small) landscapers, management companies, residential clients and commercial clients - with some of these relationships still going strong for over 30 years. These strong relationships earned Terry and Trost Irrigation the subcontractor of the year award in 2002 by the Builders Industry Association (B.I.A.).
